Odawa Casino Resort Donates $5,000 to Petoskey Stars and Stripes Committee for 4th of July Fireworks
July 11, 2014
Odawa Casino Resort, owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, recently presented a $5,000 check to the Petoskey Stars and Stripes Committee for its annual Fourth of July fireworks.
Rebecca Otto, a volunteer for the Stars and Stripes Committee, stated that "With all of the other great causes in our community that they sponsor, we are honored that Odawa Casino also supports the Petoskey Fourth of July festivities. This community celebration is funded entirely by donations and would not be possible without the Casino's help. They are a part of our continued success."
The Petoskey Stars and Stripes Committee is a volunteer organization, with 100 percent of all Fourth of July activities funded solely through donations from businesses and individuals.
Owned and operated by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, the $140 million Odawa Casino Resort in Petoskey opened in June, 2007 and features 1,200 slot machines, 29 table games, a 6-table Poker Room, an entertainment venue, several restaurants, gift stores, a nightclub and a 137-room hotel.
